SIDE ARM SINGLE BRIDGE: place L-hand below shoulder, fingers spread + gripping; L- leg strictly straight; R-knee bent with heel tucked in close to glutes, foot flat; R-arm holding kettlebell + strictly straight. Press up guiding with Hips + Core, keep shoulders out of ears, slow on the descent!👊.

Gggooooooddd leg session today with @kaylesclarke ❤️💪🏽 started with some mobility fun then onto lots of negatives and restricted movements, so no locking out / no full extension on some box squats to keep constant tension (might look like there wasn’t much ROM but quads absolutely ballooned and felt fit to burst after these sets! You don’t realise how much relief / rest you give yourself by fully extending between reps). Supersetted negative leg ext. with weighted sissy squats (that leg extension is SO heavy even though doesn’t look much 😂) and then we tried out @iron_generation_gym new standing leg curl! Split Stance > leg extension machine
.
Most gyms we go to have the standard “leg extension machine”, which, by all accounts is a great way to cause knee issues in the vast majority of population
.
I suggest replacing this “exercise” for anything in a split stance variation❗️
.
Why❓
.
Well still activate our quad muscles but well more evenly distribute the pressure accumulated from activating these muscles into our KNEES AND HIPS
.
Also, while in a split stance variation were also activating a proprioceptive and co-ordinative aspect to challenge overall function
.
