Using the hip abduction machine like @_hxlly.t will really help you to build your glutes and works as a great exercise to warm up the muscles before performing heavier leg exercises! You can also do this exercise at home with resistance bands!

Sometimes I get caught up in the idea of having to have a regimented workout schedule with a specific focus on hypertrophy and progressive overload because ‘it’s the thing to do’ when, I’ll be totally honest, it doesn’t always serve me.

A lot of ‘bodybuilders’ get into training for aesthetics and strength gain, when tbh, I got into it to have fun and build my confidence.

Lately I just have not been enjoying traditional strength training, and notice I have way better sessions when I use the gym as my playground and just do what feels right.

Yesterday was an anxious day for me, so I went into the gym and just played around with new movements, different set ups and a mix of strength & plyo work.

Does this mean I’ll lose all my #gains ???
Look, my strength will probably go down, yes.
But do I care?
Actually, not all that much 😂
As long as I am fit and healthy, can carry as many shopping bags as I humanely can, and can impress people with my furniture moving skills, I don’t really care to be crazy strong anyway!
