A Look Back on the Film's of Zack Snyder in the Wake of His Family Tragedy:
Dawn of the Dead(2004) -
Never saw the movie.
A worth while movie for its unique filming techniques. The story is rather generic and I've heard from Persians that were upset by the portrayal of Persians in the film as monstrous inbreds. Not to mention completely ignoring the fact that Sparta was a warring city-state that had no respect for culture or the arts. Can't say I wasn't happy with the ending. Score: 7/10
The story to Watchmen is completely ingenious. It should be one the single best superhero movies ever made. And yet, the film is so unbelievably out of pace and constantly sidetracked by over drawn romantic subplots and overly long fight scenes. The movie had the potential to be a great work of modern cinema. Instead, it's a mediocre work of studio garbage.
Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole(2010)
Did anyone actually see this movie? I didn't. Was it a kids film or an attempt to remake Avatar or what?
33 Metascore - Enough said.
Man of Steel(2013)
The second worst Superman movie (never forget The Quest for Peace). I went into the theater thinking: finally a reboot of a movie I want to have a reboot of. The original is great for its time, but it's outdated and could use a facelift. I left the theater thinking: how long was that movie? Two and a half hours or two and a half years? The final battle in the film literally lasts 20 minutes and the outcome is figured out after one minute. The special effects are fine but the story put me to sleep. Why is Superman trying to be a dark movie about politics without anything to say?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice(2016)
I admit, I initially enjoyed BvS. I left the theater with my friends thinking that the movie was so much better than my expectations. Then again, what were my expectations? They were very very low. I rewatched the movie when it came out on Blu Ray and was bored out of my mind in the first half hour. Snyder never knows when to end action scenes. They drag on for interminable amounts of time. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
