When Galento put Louis down: I'm trying to think of a comparison for anyone not familiar enough with Galento, or with Louis for that matter. I'm thinking something along the lines of Chuck Wepner putting Ali down maybe, or if, say, fat old George had managed to drop Holyfield? Infact come to think of it Foreman laying out Moorer maybe closer to the mark? Maybe if Butterbean had somehow managed to wangle that novelty fight with Tyson that was talked about a bit back when Tyson had first come out of prison - and then if he had gone out there and managed to dump Tyson on the seat of his pants - not completely out of the realms of possibility because Galento, like Butterbean, could hit like a mack truck - but no less embarrassing (correction; mortifying) for the smooth Champion, especially after all the smack talk from Galento beforehand that Louis had pretty much rolled his eyes at and laughed off? Louis bounced up without a count as it happens so Galento's 'Buster Douglas moment' was VERY shortlived, and, you have to wonder whether Galento didn't realise straight away that he had maybe benefitted from a momentary lapse of focus from the usually mistake-free Champion and a moment of 'off-balancedness" that Louis was occassionally the victim off? Suffice to say, Louis jumped up before the count of 'one' and got right back in command where he'd left off.
