🥊"...and Judge Thyssterboxing..scores it 117...112 for Golovkin!! 😁🙌 - for what its worth heres the breakdown after rewatching it again in the cold light of day (AND IMPORTANTLY WITHOUT THE COMMENTARY) : Round 1: 10-9 Golovkin, GGG Continually backing Canelo up behind a consistent jab boxed him around the ring continually Canelo threw virtually nothing (just a 15 second spell where he opened up) pattern of the fight established in the very first round. ound 2: 10-9 Golovkin, again overall just did more work and made the fight, got Canelo's attention for the first time in this round too.
Round3: 10-9 Canelo, a very good round from Canelo, aggressive setting Golovkin back and opening up on him impreessively. Round 4: 10-9 Canelo, following up on a good 3rd round his first real success of the fight Canelo has another good round in the 4th, very good defensively and looking like he's starting to warm into the fight.Round 5: First tear-up round Golovkin lands the best punch of the fight so far close because both trading big shots but Golovkin doing all the pressing. Golovkin round 10-9
Round 6: 10-9 Golovkin making the fight continually its Golovkin all the way in this round Canelo doesn't get a look-in Round 7: 10-9 Golovkin, Canelo really starting to look like he's feeling the pace and the continual steady pressure. Round 8: 10-9 Canelo, is Canelo getting a 2nd wind, he does SO MUCH BETTER when he takes the fight to Golovkin and punches aggressively and backs GGG up
Round 9: 10-9 GGG, very discouraging round for Canelo this one - steamroller stuff from GGG really starting to grind the resistance out of Canelo now Round 10: Round of the fight, so much heart from Canelo and great 1st minute, possibly hurting GGG but then but then over the 2nd & 3rd minutes GGG punching him back into place again and Canelo really starting to get ground down again by the end of the round 10-9 GGG Round 11: Canelo basically hanging in there now - the previous round obviously took a lot out of Canelo and he's using this to get some life back in his legs and just get through unscathed. As a result GGG 10-9 Round 12: Couldn't split them in the last Canelo leaving it all in the ring.
