🚨Long post ALERT 🚨 Sled...(sigh) don’t you just love it?...🙄In my personal experience, any workout were a prowler sled is present, I already know its going to be serious 🔥 so I made a decision and instead of putting a motivational quote.. I looked deeper into the benefits of this amazing machine 😉 something to think about while your legs are crying for help during the workout 😜 here are some of those great benefits. 💫 Improves acceleration .
Since you are constantly working against resistance (each step), your body (nervous system which controls muscle function) learns to fire harder each time. Which will significantly improve the speed on your sprints. .
⚡️ Functional Strength .
Sled work uses many different muscles and joints for functional movement. You use your arms and legs to help you move and need a strong core to keep your body stable.

🤕 Active Recovery
.
Even though it can be very challenging, sled training doesn’t have negative movement (eccentric- i.e coming down in a squat) which helps to build your muscles without working them out too much. Good for injury prevention too. .
🏃🏻‍♀️ Great for conditioning
.
You can vary your exercises between light and heavy (it will burn 🔥either way). Light weight helps with speed and acceleration and heavy will definitely challenge your muscular endurance! .
Hopefully this helps to understand that if this is in your workout, its not because your trainer is just trying to kill you or watch you suffer 😈 (may be?) This is something that we will incorporate @legacyfitdoral because we definitely want to make you faster and stronger (physically and mentally 😉)

Motivation is a great thing when we begin a new journey, it gets us started, it pushes us to take that first step, but reality is... that its not always there. There are a many times when I have lost motivation or I just feel lazy and every excuse runs through my mind... its human. It happens to all of us. Don't get me wrong, im not saying that once you lose motivation you never get it back, its just not reliable. So how do you keep yourself on track? When you lose motivation? ... Make it a habit. Habits are ingrained in us, are way more reliable, and harder to knock out with excuses and most likely wont let you down. Once you create a good habit, getting back on track when you have fallen off, becomes easier. I challenge you to pick ONE habit that you would like to add to your life i.e drink more water, wake up at 6am, put more veggies in your plate, eat slower, not looking at your phone when you are with friends and family.... etc. Make sure is reasonable and sustainable....small goals will lead you to the big ones. For example: if you picked "drink more water" ... and you barely drink water, don't start with a gallon a day...may be try a glass of water upon waking up and before each meal... you get the point😉

Be intentional and focus on it each day until it becomes a habit.... only then you can move on to the next 😉 share it with me, if you want! 🙃 ill keep you accountable if you need me to 💪🏼

What it means for me?... it means to be intentional every single day and wake up with a purpose, what can I do today that will take me one step closer to where I want to be? It means to be relentless on becoming a better ME.
