I have no formal edumacation beyond my shitty grades in High School. Somehow, I was recruited into a Marketing team about 8 months ago. I knew nothing about Marketing. Frankly, I was afraid I wouldn’t last or make the cut... These past few weeks I was given the responsibility of micro managing a pretty big project. Having to keep tabs on all these moving parts... Team management, copywriting, website design, and all these little itty bitty (but crucial) things in between. .
It was an insane experience. A test of my sanity and resourcefulness. I am extremely happy that the process was decently smooth. I am massively impressed with my team and every bit of input someone had made. Grateful that I have such successful and patient mentors rooting for me and guiding me through unfamiliar territory... .
Today was awesome because I got to be back in Montréal and take the better part of my day to be myself. Visiting some old pals from the @projetlove_mtl crew. LOVE was the organization that made me a patient, empathetic, and driven individual. They taught me how to lead groups, run workshops, and do public speaking in front of 100’s of people. Hanging out with them today was an amazing opportunity to not only relax, but get back in touch with my roots and the communities that influenced me the most in my life. .
I guess the moral of this Instagram rant is... Damn, there’s shit to be grateful for. .
