I'm not counting this as today's drawing (September 20th). (Maybe I should, since this isn't really about quality... 🤔
This is just showing you guys that these drawings really are practice exercises for me, not just little things I'm doing quick and not putting effort into just to be able to say I did them.
For whatever reason, I tend to draw bears' eyes way too high, too big, and too far apart. 😂 So to compensate, I gave this bear big bushy eyebrows to help him cover up his third and fourth eyes. 😭 #BrowsOnFleek [It goes without saying, but] not everything I crank out over the course of this challenge will be perfect. The object of this whole thing is to draw without expectations anyway, recognize the areas where I need further practice and/or improvement, learn from the mistakes, and then move onto the next one. (In this case, keep the snout short, the eyes low, the eyes small, and the eyes close.) Pen sketches are good for freeing you up mentally and getting sketches done fast, but also good for helping you see how accurate or inaccurate your proportions are. You can see I had to make the outline of the ears, head and snout smaller a few times. My mistakes on this one are noted, and will be remembered next time I decide to draw a bear.
So, since there's supposed to be no pressure or expectations with these things, here's my bear sketch chock full of mistakes! 😄
