I wasn’t on my “A” game last week. More like a B-. One thing that was missing was tracking my macros to hold me accountable to my daily goals. I call this operating on “cruise control”... it’s generally not worked out so well for me in the past.

One thing thats always worked is tracking my food and water intake to an app like #myfitnesspal . So my goal is to get back at it next week starting this morning. It helps me not only stay aware of portion sizes, but also stay more mindful about the little snacking that adds up throughout the day. An extra bite here and there, spoon of olive oil, piece of cheese, or snack adds up. Without making it a habit to track in MFP, I can easily add a couple hundred calories a day.

So starting today, back on MFP, and hoping to finish the week on my A-game.

For lunch today, we had this delicious garlic shrimp power bowl with 1 cup spring greens, some mushrooms, 1/4 avocado, cherry tomatoes, and 1/3 cup quinoa. Dressed with lemon juice, olive oil, and sea salt.
.
Depending on your goals, you can easily substitute the quinoa for cauliflower rice - or eliminate altogether - for an even lower carb / keto meal.

Altogether, 294 calories, 20+ grams protein, and 19 grams carbs.

Good morning fam!! Hope you’re all fine.. if you watched my story you already know that my vegan burger 🍔 experiment was an epic fail and I had to go for frozen soy burgers instead (I’ve put a pic of it anyway if you swipe👉🏼).. so homemade burger post will come an other time🙈!
You may also know that today I’m working 9-22😱 coffee will be my best friend ☕️ I slept pretty good but I woke up super bloated.. I don’t know if it’s a reaction to the too much soy I had yesterday or if it’s maybe because my body needs more sleep🙈. Whatever, it happens!😅

Today I wanna share with you a quick dessert/snack idea that it takes no time to make and it’s low carb if you’re looking for keeping them down, especially before bed☺️ all you need is a mug/bowl and 4 ingredients:
• 1 scoop (25-30g) chocolate protein powder.
• 1/2 tsp baking powder.
• 1 Tbsp coconut flour 🥥.
• 100-120ml milk 🥛.

Mix dry ingredients first, add then the milk and mix until well combined. Try with 100ml mil first, if it’s too dry add some more! Cook in the microwave for 1 min and that’s it! Top it and eat it!😋 I added a few choc chips before putting it in the microwave, topped it with some frozen raspberries, soy yogurt, coco pops and peanut butter 😍

Roasted Chicken
Ingredients :
1-Whole Chicken.
2-Greek yoghurt.
3-Lemon juice.
4-Bell pepper.
5-Potato.
6-Onion.
7-Spices ( @thegymchef tomato&herb spice + salt & black pepper + garlic powder )
8-Olive oil.
Recipe :
1-Cut the chicken.
2-Marinate with lemon juice, greek yoghurt, olive oil & spices for 1 hour at least.
3-In a tray covered with aluminum foil place chicken with marinade + the potato & onions ( peeled & whole ) + chopped bell pepper.
4-Cover & close with aluminum foil & place in preheated oven & roast for 1 hour on medium heat.
5-Remove the cover & grill till crispy & brown.
6-Take the tray out & let it cool for about 10 min.
7-Serve it with white rice & salad & just dig in 🔥

I love hitting my arms and getting that solid pump, there’s nothing like it. In this pic I’m performing the Dumbbell spider curls, which was preceded by Incline Dumbbell Curls. A quick recipe for breakfast burritos, here is the meat filling that can be added on a wheat tortilla with egg whites 🍳 for a great post workout meal that can eaten on the go! 🌶🔥🌯🍽 1. Brown 1lb of lean ground turkey at a medium high heat and drain of any excess juices
2. Add one packet of Mrs. Dash salt-free taco seasoning with one cup of water.
3. Add frozen or fresh bell peppers and onions and cover with a lid
4. Let simmer at a medium heat for 10-15 minutes to thicken the mixture, stirring occasionally
5. Add black pepper and a dash of salt to taste (optional)
