THERE ARE RULES TO INTERMITTENT FASTING! 👊🏻

The first rule of Intermittent fasting is “Don’t talk about Intermittent fasting” (Tyler Durden voice.....) 🤨.

But seriously, listed below are a few helpful tips that you may want to consider if you are thinking about, or are new to the world of fasting.

First and foremost you want to choose a #fasting protocol that suits your lifestyle, if it doesn’t fit you then it’s destined to fail! adherence is so important ☝️.

Next is a support network! And just like the disciplines with your fitness goals you will also need to surround yourself with likeminded, supportive people who are on a similar journey.

“Adaptation is key” It may take a while to start enjoying, appreciating and functioning optimally whilst #IntermittentFasting so be patient.

Build up gradually. If you are not used to prolonged periods without food you may want to start with longer feeding windows and reduce over time (it’s not a race).

There is absolutely zero #calories during the fast! This is mandatory. My recommendations to blunt hunger are quality H20, black #coffee & Sparkling water. •
If you are training in a #fasted state then don’t push to hard until you have adapted, (adaptation is key).

Pace yourself during your feeding window. It’s tempting to fill your face, Ive been there.

Use the 80/20 rule with your food choices. Intermittent fasting will not provide you the best results if you are battling bad food choices.

And lastly stay #hydrated!

I've been asked a lot about push, pull, legs split... So I'll be incorporating some breakdowns of my workouts on these splits here and there.

Here's an sample of one of my workouts for LEGS in both the strength and hypertrophy rep range. The basics are to hit the quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and calves. Current I'm on lower, upper split and I do sumo deadlifts on my second lower day of the week, I do not have sumo or conventional deadlifts listed here since they are on the PULL portion of the program.
