Such a fun project. I think these will do well at craft shows this fall. I adapted the "Gem Cases" pattern from Lazy Girl....I added a strap with Velcro rather than use her method of just using elastic to close the case.
Soooo.....Christmas fever has hit me hard!!! (Sorry Thanksgiving) and these cute little gift card holders aren't helping!! These are from @joanhawley 's new pattern Gifty Card Holders and as always, Joan's patterns are fun, useful, and addictive!! They use Layer Cake squares and and her stiff stuff interfacing and they are so stinking fast and fun to make - I think I need to add a few of these tags to my tree as ornaments because I'm pretty sure there are double bonus points for matching your gift wrap to your Christmas quilts!! #iwantallthedoublebonuspoints#lazygirlpatterns#stiffstuffcrafts#showmethemoda#juniperberryfabric
Late night sewing last night. 1st day of PE in middle school. Made a screen mesh bag to carry stuff. It has to be "see through" by school rules & compact/conceal by daughter's request. I wanted to monogram but the fabric M would have obstructed the "view". #middleschoolchallenges.. I used the #lazygirlpatterns method for zipper but installed backwards on mesh so added teal embellishment to disguise my mess up. Turned on its side to add handle. The 11 yr old thinks it's cool so that's all that matters!
