#365photochallenge Day 171: An Attitude of Gratitude
As a news junkie with strong political opinions, there's been a lot for me to be upset, unhappy and dissatisfied with lately, especially this week. But there's a fine line between justified anger that inspires productive action and anger that leads you down pointless rabbit holes arguing with randos on Facebook. An overdose on the latter kind of anger prompted me to step back, try to regain perspective, and remember what there is to be grateful for this evening.
Fortunately, a paving project in my building's parking lot forced a literal change in my physical perspective on my apartment building today and yesterday. I had to park on the street in front of the building (part of which is shown here) instead of in back, where I've gotten used to parking, and also taking for granted everything I see getting in and out of my car. This little change in my viewpoint made me reflect on how lucky and grateful I am to have this beautiful, impeccably maintained place to live.
