My sole practice as an artist lies in the digital world. While I do find an abundance of love in what I do, it can become overwhelming and exhausting. Even generally through everyday life contact with technology. Sometimes I have to take a break, slow down, seek a path towards the recharging of energy. I find peace with film, there's a stillness within. It breeds patience and acts that constitute meaning. It could take me months to finish a single roll of film but I can produce 100s of images with my dslr in a single hour. Sometimes out of the 100s, I am lucky if I end with a final 3. There's nothing wrong with either though, I thoroughly enjoy both means of photography. But I've come to the understanding of how each works. How I need both. How I feel both. It's a beautiful thing really, I wish I could better explain it. Or maybe I don't need to, perhaps you can try it out for yourself and let me know of your experience. I know I wrote a lot, it's interesting how my captions are normally found non existent. I guess it's just one of those moments. Anywho..Here's a photo from day 1 of the recent LA wildfire that became the largest in its history.
