I rarely post about fitness, mainly because I don't want to trigger anyone or encourage the idea that working out makes you a better person or morally superior. Newsflash, working out is not a requirement for self-love and exercise shouldn't be a punishment for what you've eaten.
That said, I tried yoga for the first time last week to simply move my body and see what it could do. Yes, there were poses I had to modify and others I couldn't even attempt, but I still had fun on the mat and enjoyed clearing up my mind. It was such a wild concept and experience since I spent years working out simply because I hated my body.
Know there's nothing wrong with wanting to feel healthier as long as you don't sacrifice your mental health to do that. And if you're doing so, please stop. Your mental health is more important than your physical fitness levels. ✨
