Sometimes people change. And there's nothing you can do about it. Most times you wonder what the reason is. And then starts the contemplating, assuming and self convincing. Sometimes I feel like there is so much pressure to put labels on the way we eat. It can seem as though everyone is either on some sort of diet or “whole30, keto, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, counting macros, gluten free....” the list goes on. (*this is all aside from literal allergies/intolerances) Sometimes even saying I “intuitively eat” can become hairy because people have put rules on that too, or misconstrue it into something it’s not. It’s not just the hunger/fullness diet, it’s not letting go of all nutritional knowledge, it’s not eating pizza everyday, or kale everyday. It’s not making the most satisfying meal every single day because you MUST honor your exact cravings at that exact moment-sometimes you run out the door with a piece of toast in your hand when you much rather be swimming in a pool of maple syrup on pancakes 🥞. Social media can make eating seem so damn complicated. Now intuitive eating is what I would generally say I “follow” but for lack of confusion I lately have just said that I simply eat. Can’t we all just simply eat whatever we enjoy whenever we want it without an explanation, a back story or a label? Just eat & focus on YOU and your needs, wants and desires regarding food (& in all aspects of life!) Just a thought on this beautiful Friday! I wish you all a great day ♥️ —————————————-
Deets: Last nights dinner- 1 wild caught mahi mahi filet 🐟(frozen from @bjswholesale) coated in @chosenfoods avocado oil and @traderjoes chili lime seasoning thrown in the air fryer on the “fish” setting (took about 15ish minutes on 370). While that cooked I sautéed up some kale 🍃, zucchini 🥒, & tomatoes 🍅 in more avocado oil & EBB seasoning! I also made some jasmine rice 🍚 that I mixed a @thelaughingcowusa pepper jack cheese into & some nutritional yeast into also! 🧀
