Lake Coniston, Lake District, UK ————————————————————————- Canon 600D, 16mm, ISO100, 25secs, f11 ————————————————————————- One from the archive as due to the recent weather I’ve not been out for a few weeks. This was taken in October 2016
“Everybody wants to reach the peak, but there is no growth on the top of a mountain. It is in the valley that we slog through: the lush grass and rich soil, learning and becoming is what enables us to summit life’s next peak.” -Andy Andrews
On top of the world!!! Such a brilliant walk yesterday, out of Grasmere along the bottom of the Far Easedale Valley(name?) and then back along the ridge line ending in an up and over of Helm Crag, we beat the rain and dodged a parking ticket!!

#tbt Going back this evening to early Feb when I had the pleasure of spending the day with @simonturnbull_photos We were challenged by inclement weather, so we headed down to the central lakes and Hodge Close Quarry. It's possible to climb safely down to the water level within the quarry and it was fun to have a bit of an experiment with some abstract shots. Simon has already posted a sublime edit of a shot he took..if you don't already follow then you are in for a treat 😍
