1/5: SHOUT OUT YOUR VALUE PROPOSITION. And I am not talking about USP which doesn't do much for your business if you don't even know your business's value proposition. And yes many business owners do not.
In every Industry, products/services are basically similar with most customers already pitching their tent with one business or the other. However, the one thing that can earn you attention from your target market is your value proposition...And Instagram being a photo/video platform gives you a great opportunity to intimate your ideal customer about your value proposition...Something you can only do in the real world if you have a big advertisement budget. ----
Your Value Proposition tells your customer what value you have to offer that should make them patronise you. It should be a big part of your marketing message and must highlight how your product will solve your target market's problem and make their life better. It should be on your bio and all over your feed and should be in the language your customer understands. The less know your business is, the better your value proposition has to be and it must match your customers needs. Your value proposition could be security, convenience, ease of use, credibility, adaptability, newness, etc etc etc. It however must match the benefits your customers desire.
So how do you craft one?
1). First Identify your different customer segments
2). For each segment, list out how your product intends to relieve customer pain and create gains for them (in order of importance).
3). Identify the pains you target market experience and the gains they crave for at every touch point from sourcing for your product to using them (in order of importance)
4). Do a matching matching between 2 & 3 above. Match pain reliever in 2 with pains in 3 as well as gain creator in 2 with gains in 3. Don't expect to match everything because you can't solve every customer need and will wear your business out if you even attempt to. ---
