Holy shit today marks 18 years since Destiny's Child released their 2nd album "The Writing's On The Wall" aka the best album of their entire discography. TWOTW included singles such as the memorable "Say My Name", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Bug a Boo", & "Jumpin, Jumpin". The album debuted at No.6 on the Billboard 200 (deserved a No.1) selling 132,000 copies & peaking at No.5 within the next year. It also earned the group 6 Grammy nominations such as "Record of the Year" & "Song of the Year". The album was certified 8x Platinum by the RIAA in November 6, 2001-selling over 6 million copies in the US alone. TWOTW was ranked at No.39 on Billboard magazine's "Top 200 Albums of the Decade". There's a reason why I said this album is the best because it kind of (kind of) goes through these phases of love & heartbreak. Only a couple of songs have a follow up in the ending having one of the members introduce the next song telling some other story from another setting ("So Good" outro having Bey saying "Thou shall pay bills" introducing the next track "Bills, Bills, Bills") which is very creative. (Update: I looked at the CD picture of the album and all of the spoken outros of some song. All of these songs are just so amazing, but my top 5 are "Temptation", "Hey Ladies", "If You Leave", "She Can't Love You" & "So Good". I'm gonna listen to this album tonight and sleep in peace until 2 am. Enjoy 😳.
