Nothing says “Christmas Magic” like travelling to your local tree farm and hauling a 20lb Fir tree out of the middle of a soggy field! The Washington skies displayed a spectacular shade of grey for our spirited journey through vast fields of evergreen delights. Muddy puddles beckoned our toddler while apple cider donuts beckoned mama. After a particularly stimulating hayride we selected the Grand Fir that would adorn our living room for the next month. The jealous glares of strangers in the parking lot admiring my children arguing insistently whilst clambering awkwardly into the car just capped off our enchanting trip. And as we drove away with pine needles fluttering in the distance, the bloody sky turned blue.
