If you've been curious why I haven't been posting much, it's because I haven't been on the road for the last five months! I've been living back in Iguazú Falls, Brazil; where the adventure started three and a half years ago! I've been making some changes to Fofinha, taking time to prepare for my workshops in Antarctica and spend time with my close friends here in Brazil. I took time to go back to the US to see my family and friends, and it's a great place to leave Hurley and my Bus while I take some time for myself.
Next week, I'll be hitting the road again and heading to the south of Brazil; working my way down the coast through Parana, Santa Catarina and ending up in Caxias Do Sul. I originally thought I wanted to go to Patagonia again this season before my Antarctica trip in March but my Portuguese has gotten much better and the South of Brazil is supposed to be an amazing place to travel. So, like always, things are always changing.
I look back at some of these old photos and get that bug to travel again! It's nice to stop and recharge the mental batteries after being on the road so long. I've seen too many people get burned out trying to cover too much ground too soon and lose that feeling of familiarity. I will always be grateful for my friends and family here in Iguazú. It's always great to come back and feel like part of a community.
If anyone is going to be around Brazil and wants to hop in the bus for an adventure, the doors are always open :)
