Does creative inspiration hit you out of the blue, like a ton of bricks? It seems to come out of nowhere for me and all of a sudden I have ideas for a new sock and a pullover and there are not enough hours in the day! Here’s a sneak peek (terrible lighting, sorry) at a new lacey sock design I hope to have out soon. #knitallthethings#newdesign#periscopingsisters#socktawk#operationsockdrawer
We are less one hour away from the round 2 pre-order going live for the Comfort Fade Cardi yarn kits 🙌🏻 We knit our version using the Magellanic Kit. I have to admit that I have been living in this sweater over the last month and I plan to knit another one in the Comfort Fade KAL in January. ➰ The pattern is by Andrea Mowry @dreareneeknits and it is available on Ravelry. ➰ Pre-order update goes live tonight, Nov 20th @ 11pm (Paris time) at www.labienaimee.com. ➰
This pepperminty stripe yarn is making me very happy right now 😍🎄 It seems my brain can only handle knitting certain things this year, probably because it is learning a whackload of new stuff. 🤯Colourwork (which I normally love and fly through) has been a serious challenge- I’ve attempted at least 3 different fair isle hats and I’ve had to rip every one of them out, LOL, I just can’t compute it right now! Garter stitch, stockinette and yo-K2tog lace, are making up most of my WIP’s; thank goodness there are so many beautiful things you can knit with them! Also, a few predictable cables every now and then, because I looove a cabled hat! I’ll show you which one I’m working on tomorrow😉 #knitstagram#knittersofinstagram#bcknittersofig#cdnknittersofig#knitting#knitallthethings

🦃HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! 🦃I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful day. • This year I am so thankful for my family and friends who have supported me through this journey. Put up with me when my yarn stash exploded to every inch of the house, helped me figure out my color combinations and helped me through the harder times of being a maker. Even though it isn’t always easy, it is so worth it. I soundly change a part of my journey for anything. • A huge thank you also to everyone who has come out to my shows so far this year, knowing people actually enjoy my stuff is the cherry on top. • If your still reading this good for you ahaha keep an eye out tomorrow because I may or may not have my entire shop on sale 🙊 . . . #greenmountaincrochet#happythanksgiving#sothankful#etsyshop#etsysellersofinstagram#smallbusiness#supporthandmade#handmadeisbetter#knitallthethings#crochetlove#bosslady
I'm a day behind, but here's my Join In (Intro) post for the #giftalong2017 Instagram Challenge: My name is Elizabeth and I'm one half of Sweet Paprika. The other half is my sister Debbie and together we design knitting and crochet patterns and make hand-dyed yarn.
I love making gifts for other people and have been participating in the Ravelry Indie Design Gift-A-Long for four years now. It's such a fun way to meet other knitters and designers, both locally and across the world. It's also a nice way for me to take a break from working on my own designs and enjoy working from other designers' patterns. There are 311 designers participating this year, and so many beautiful patterns to choose from that I'm having a hard time deciding where to begin! With the start of the cold weather here in Montreal, I've been gravitating towards thick warm slippers and mittens, but wherever you are and whatever the weather, I'm sure you'll find something that you love to make.
