The commercial gym (or gym that you sit down on a machine to complete your exercises) is contradictory. .
Why? Most of us sit down too much as it is...we wake up and then sit down breakfast, sit to drive to work, sit at work, sit at lunch, sit driving home, sit to watch tv, sit to have dinner, so why oh why sit at the gym?! .
Why are gyms like this? Because you the user need no skills to perform them and that makes it easy for gyms to make you feel comfortable and safe. It’s also from the 70/80s body building culture that plagues those just wanting fitness, to look good and feel good. It’s totally the industry’s fault. .
The exercise should be your place to move differently, take side steps, rotate, control your body itself and not have a seat do the effort for you.
