5th grade graduation. I don't know where the time went but I'm soooo proud of her. This year she made honor roll EVERY marking period and got awarded a Gold Presidents Education Award for maintaining a 3.5 GPA (or above) for the year.
Nobody gets parenting 100% right, and I have to make decisions daily that I'm not always sure about no matter how confident I might let on. I literally judge my parenting by my child's success....so I guess I'm getting this right. So much has happened this year that could easily cause any student to be distracted, but not my baby. I literally went this entire school year with only having to ASK her if she's done her homework, never had to go behind her to make sure it was done. She completed all projects on her own and only asking me to buy supplies.
She'd FaceTime her step-dad if she needed help with math homework and he'd always be ready and willing 7,000 miles away in Afghanistan. I wanted to do so much for her today but in a week we'll be leaving NJ for NC, and she not only understands but appreciates all the sacrifices I and her step-father make. I love her more than chocolate! 😘💘#kleah #khaliah #5thGradeGraduation #HonorRoll @k_ariana_j
