The #Søholm estate in #Klampenborg was the next stop on our #ArneJacobsen pilgrimage. This is a seaside housing development that Arne Jacobsen worked on over several phases from the 30’s to the mid-50s. He also made his own home in one of the units in a row of townhomes that he built there. It’s a little #bauhaus/#ArtDeco/#modernist paradise by the sea; and, again, astonishingly predictive of building and design styles decades later. This series of photos, though, is of the life-guard towers that he designed (along with the matching blue-and-white uniforms for the lifeguards) on the beach opposite the housing developments.
