Just wanted to touch on this subject a little as I've had quite a confrontational message about the subject, accusing me of being "money hungry" & that I need help with my "mental health" due to my answer.
I have always said that I do not answer questions about supplies or techniques & wouldn't do tutorials etc & here is why.
My shop is my business & I have always said, it would be detrimental to my business to answer these sorts of questions.
Being totally honest, I find it quite rude when people ask "where do you get these supplies, how do you do this, so I can have a go at making it myself because that would be cheaper" - that is disrespectful & I'm sure a lot of shop owners would agree.
As for being money hungry - yes, this is a source of income for me. Surely that is one of the main reason anyone starts a company because they want to make a sustainable income from doing something that they love - this has always been my aim.
As for my mental health - the shop keeps me busy & I absolutely love crafting so, can't complain there!
You wouldn't walk in to a computer shop & say "where can I buy the components & can you show me how to make it because that would be cheaper" it's just not the done thing, so why would you do it to a small business?
I was going to post anything but it threw me slightly this evening so thought I would clear up why it is I've always done that.
Hope you're all well! 💖
