Little Mister asked for a snowman today and asked that his carrots be softened, so I thought I’d make him a cute snowman themed lunch. Warm and slightly sweetened snowman noses, snowman poop and marshmallows packed in the box. For yesterday’s gingerbread man and this snowman, I used a new set of edible markers I saw on Amazon & I really like them for these bento creations. They are $20, but worth it because their fine tip allows for the smaller outlines and touch ups on the bread. AmeriColor Gourmet Writer Food Decorator Pens are now are new faves. . . . . . .
Before moving to the US for my student exchange program, I made a conscious decision of avoiding non vegetarian food on Tuesday! 1. Health reasons It majorly stemmed from the fact that having been an avid non vegetarian eater I'd not leave a single meal of the week without a non vegetarian food item. A break is much needed where I could feed myself with some ghaas-phoos instead of flesh and blood.
2. Religious reasons. Just so that I could stick to my resolution for the fear of GOD 😂
FOUR month down the line, having been in-charge of my own meals I've successfully managed to survive Tuesdays and at the same time bettered my vegetarian cooking skills.
This is one of my favourite meals which requires the least amount of expertise but tastes yumm. Broccoli fried in olive oil with a pinch of salt and garlic. Hash brown patties toasted in a pan with chilli flakes and oregano.
First of three sweatshirts made today at my parents house. I thought it'd feel a bit strange making them in a different place but once I set everything up it felt better than in my own house...more space and no distractions.
