Well you are not alone my friend. I too am in that zone. After the November 2016 Shoulder Dislocation I too have not been able to get back or even close to where I was once. Every time I tried to move forward I did for a short period of time but again I had an excuse to backout and be complacent

I know if you are reading this, you can relate to it. I want you to know it's completely fine. I have been lifting from last 10 good years, if I can slack off so can you
.
This time its different. I am accountable. For the first time in my life I have hired a Coach. Not that I dont know how to get my body back in shape but just knowing I am answerable to someone forces me to get my ass up and do what needs to be done
.
Last year every time I went back in the gym , I tried to push harder than my body could handle to make up for the slack off. That left me depleted and demotivated for my next workout. This time, I have changed it. I have started slow and making sure that even if the intensity is low, I make a habit of hitting the gym every single day and completing all my meals no matter what
.
I want to tell you that if you too are in similar position, it's OK. Dont be harsh on yourself. If you have already done it once, you can do it again. Physically it's too soon to see any changes but mentally I am feeling way stronger and commited. As I always say, if you are feeling out of sorts in any aspect of your life, Career, Happiness, Health or Relations, I can promise you getting on that Physical Transformation journey is going to take care of everything else. 🔥How to Stay Lean While Bulking🔥
.
So the Summer Shredding season is gone. Its time to Winter Bulk now. Days of Dirty bulking are gone. Its the era of Lean Bulking. Many people make the big mistake of going overboard with calories when the Bulking Season drops in. Ofcourse you do gain Muscle that way but also is accompanied the dreaded HIGH BODY FAT PERCENTAGE
.
If you have faced the same issue then here are some tips to maintain those abs while Bulking
.
1. Nutrition- Start by slowly increasing calories. The worst thing you can do for Lean Bulking is, to up your calories too much too fast. Calculate maintainence calories by Harris Benedicts equation and start eating 10-15% more calories than Maintainence
.
2. Cardio - Just because you are bulking does not mean you should stop doing cardio. Unless you are blessed with great genetics, I highly recommend to have atleast to Low Intensity Cardio sessions for 20 mins and 1 HIIT session for 10 mins in a week. Will not only help you to stay lean with those extra Calories but also make sure your heart is healthy
.
3. Cheat Meals- Now since you do not need to be too strict with your Diet, you can allow yourself to have atleast 2 Cheal Meals in a week. Its a Cheat Meal not a cheat day. Have 2 meals a week where you can eat whatever you want to keep yourself sane. Rest of the Meals should be coming from Clean Calories Dense Foods
.
4. Have a Deadline- Since Lean Bulking is an extremely patient process. You can expect to gain between 250-300 gms of Lean Muscle Per Week when done right. You might not feel the changes in the mirror for first few weeks and might get dissapointed. But give yourself a timeframe of 6-8 months to gain Lean Muscle. Take biweekly measurements and pictures consistently. Will help you to stay motivated. Otherwise many people give up since the progress seems slow
.

Whether it's your Career, Money, Relationships or Health, one of the biggest issues I have noticed and become Self aware of is that people do often Try Agin but they do not succeed. That's because they are not willing to put in the time to see where they went wrong or where the Weak Link was at the first place
.
From my personal example, one of the biggest weak points in my Career and Relationship was Socialising. Being a Hardcore Introvert, I was never able to gel up with people and make friends or network. After failing zillions of times I started researching more on Human and Social psychology. Starting reading Resourceful books and spending more time with people who were not afraid to show their Eccentricity to the World. Every time I had a Failed conversation, I wrote at what point , at what time, at which topic and what kind of body language gave me the indication that the Conversation was dying. Only after relentless research and effort I overcome that struggle
.
DOING the same thing over and over again and expecting to WIN is a fool's choice. You are not only wasting your Energy but also one of the priceless things you have I.e. TIME
.
One of the best advices I can give to anyone is that if you have been failing in any of your ventures in any of the aspect of your LIFE, I want you to stay still for a moment. Take some time, note down what potentially went wrong, keep your ego aside and show the Humility to ask for Help. Once you have enough of conviction and hold on the issue, only then I want you to "TRY AGAIN"

1. Train 3-4 Times a Week with Weights - yes Weight Training is what will build Muscle and Muscle is what will make your body look Toned. Inteoduce weight training 3-4 times a week, focussing mostly on compound movements like Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Presses, Overhead Presses. Do 3-4 sets of Each and 8-12 reps in each set for Muscle Growth

2. Portion Control - The 2nd Most important aspectis Nutrition . Start using Portion Control to your advantage. Keep a Fixed Eating Plate and divide it in 3 sections. You will eat all your Meals in that same food plate. 1/2 of that Plate will be filled with Lean Protein Sources like Chicken Breast, Egg Whites, Fish, Tofu etc, 1/4 with Complex Carbs like Brown Rice, Chapattis, Quinoa, Brown Bread, Sweet Potatoes etc And the remaining with healthy fats like Almonds and nuts, Flaxseeds, etc. And yes, no cheat meals until you reach your goal

3. Cardio - The last thing that will help you lose that fat to reveal the Toned Physique is Cardio. Nothing too extremel just 30 mins of Empty Stomach Cardio first thing in the morning every single day is what you need at the moment

One thing I have learnt along the journey of self improvement is that being Anal about everything is never the best strategy

I know we want to do and make thing sperfect but being Flexible is a huge part of life. The word "Stress" actually originates when your Perceived Reality does not meet the actual Reality

Life will always throw its tantrums and shit every now and then. Stop forcing your way to make things as you went them to be and start embracing the uncertainity
