Many of you have asked how to get into dancers pose or work towards it - so here it is! You can stop at any level that serves you, but we love this method of getting in. Thanks for sharing @yogawithjib #inflexibleyogis ・・・
Natarajasana used to be my favorite because of its shoulder-opening nature. I cant say i have a favorite now but this pose still takes me to a happy place every time i go in.
The strap is an essential tool while working towards the full pose. I remember having tried to flip the elbow up too soon (in my practice journey) and having regretted doing it. My shoulders just didnt feel good afterwards. Using the strap, however, allows you to experience the shoulder opening sensations without having to learn the muscular/skeletal limits of your shoulder joints the hard way. Remember to be mindful while finding a place to PAUSE in and breathe comfortably from. 🌱
Happy practicing! 🌸
