#132 #week4 #day2 shoulders and chest today then I threw in biceps cos I miss them. Also did a total of 30mins stairs but only managed 2 rounds of HIIT instead of 4. Will work my way back up.

Who else when they are in prep jumps out of bed and checks in the mirror if they look leaner, if they have abs yet??? 🙋🏽‍♀️ Call it vain if you like, but for me it’s that drive for growth, the drive for results.... in body building results just happen to be easier to display in the physical!
At the start of the week I posted a 7 month transformation, so to inspire those that thought that was too long, and to finish the week, I thought I’d post a shorter one.

This is only 1 month between! And starting to feel really little now! 🙈

And let me tell you there has been no super drastic measures, still having free meals, sure a good chunk of hard work but I prefer that to lower calories!

Hip Thrusts 💪🏿🍑 Slowly building strength here too!
Range is a little short on these @120kg but considering it was set 7 or so and mid way through my session happy with the progress!
If you aren’t including these in “booty” sessions then you are missing out!
Remember a simple adjustment as the distance your feet are from your bum can change major target to either glutes or hamstrings.... play around with your feet placement for optimal activation!

What did you guys train today?

#128 #week3 #day4 back and arms day! Mostly back though. High volume! It’s hard but I love it! Deff a favourite atm! Did 15 mins crosstrainer to start and finish my workout slowly working those lungs back up to stairs and HIIT. Did more abs too.
I’m absolutely starving right now and only have dinner left on the menu 😢

There are two moments in the day right now I take a moment to count my blessings and focus on gratitude.... Whilst the winter days are harder as I leave the office in the dark, I do get to watch the amazing sunset over the city from my window! So for that I am grateful for living this life, living another day and breathing!
Whilst I lay in the sauna at night on days that are long, when I am tired and hungry I remind myself of how grateful I am to be able to choose nutritious food, choose to train and to have a body that can move and be strong!

I’m still not a fan of all this leg/booty work but I have realized it’s muchly needed and already working on the leg fatloss so I will deal yet I’ll probably always whinge 😜

Had a physio appointment today was starting to get nerve pain in my legs and I will not let it stop me so got onto it before it became an issue. Bit sore now though as my disc bulge that effects the nerves in my legs isn’t my only problem. The neck and pec minors are massively tight and restricting my neves into my arms. All stuff I’ve been dealing with forever but just have to stay on top of it and do my stretches and know not to push too hard.
The point to my little story is you don’t have to let pain stop you but you do have to listen to your body! •

Did chest and shoulders today and threw in some assisted pull-ups and abs.
Lungs still aren’t strong enough for HIIT or stairs but I know I have to listen to my body. .

I witnessed two amazing things in the gym today... Confidence! Self belief! Trust! Two of my closet friends absolutely beamed!
@mamatotwo2817 believed in herself and whipped out and easy 6 reps of 120kilo hip thrusters on her 7th set! 😱🏋🏼‍♀️ she literally jumped up and down like a school girl who just got asked on her first date ☺️ I even gave her a high five I was so proud!
And Miss @allygetfit46 stepped way out of her comfort zone and joined the #cropclub so I could get an awesome photo of her back and all her hard work! One year and she has turned her life around! Ali was so nervous but once she did it and saw her pic it was worth it and she no longer hated my peer pressure of stripping in the gym 😉
If you do the things like the training and the food things rewards will come! •

Honestly, I’d thrown away my smaller sized clothes and just about given up on “downsizing”. I’ve always been a curvier woman, and I almost settled on never getting back to a smaller size again!
I wasn’t enjoying training so often chose not to and thought I was doing what I wanted and enjoying life more. My negative self image and confidence rubbed off on every aspect of my life, and throw in a few curveballs of some painful life events, I almost ended up exactly where I was when I started my fitness journey 5 years ago!

Something started changing just before my 30th birthday last year, and deep inside my gut was telling me you will make it back and the life you want to lead is not where you are!
Signing up with @team_kingbodies has been the best move I have made! Fast forward 7 or so months and wow!
This is only the start of a #comeback . This life isn’t for everyone, but I enjoy the structure and routine of training, and more so (that could be for everyone) I enjoy the challenge and I enjoy pushing myself to change and evolve every day!

It’s not about the size or the weight on the scale, although visually seeing change like I did in this outfit on the weekend does help.... it’s about my mind being stronger, my confidence growing again and my self love and worth coming before anything else!

#125 #week3 #day1 finally made the gym at 6pm. It’s so hard at night!!! But I knew I had to get it done as I didn’t want the whole weeks training to be thrown out and all my excuses not to go weren’t good enough. Legs are hard at the best of times but legs and no preworkout at night time after a nap that shit is painful! Mind and body! Got it done and some abs and these photos make me feel better about having to drag my arse to the gym. 💪🏻

Finally loving squats again! 💪🏿 Increasing week on week, and although form needs a couple of minor tweaks and reminders.... it’s starting to get pretty solid!
Squats is the 3rd exercise for me at the moment in my programming (note I am not specifically training for strength at the moment) and today was:
Warm up sets
4 x 10 @ 70, 75, 80, 90kg
I was again feeling solid and strong with these so went for it....
1 x 5 @ 100kg
2 x 2 @ 105kg (video of the second set)
And I know I’ve got heavier in me too! 🏋🏽‍♀️
(Prior to injury my 1RM was 127.5kg.... goal is 135kg at the moment)
