ANNOUNCEMENT: I'm SO excited to share this remix I made in collaboration with @youngdreamsband to re-imagine the track ‘Oban’ by @jagajazzistofficial from their last album Starfire. It is out now on Spotify/iTunes! Link in bio! •
@jagajazzistofficial are one of my favorite bands and a way I like to stay inspired is to re-approach my favorite songs as a way to honour them and unveil different aspects of the original song. When the opportunity arose to reinterpret 'Oban' I was so excited at the challenge of developing such an incredibly dimensional and technicolour piece into more of a 'pop’ style arrangement.

@youngdreamsband had made an instrumental rework of the original song and I fell in love with the psychedelic 70s mood of it and then added a vocal and lyric in homage to that era of soul ballads. We collaborated on the final arrangement/production, and after back and forth we ended up with an new song titled ‘Relative Peace’.

Hope you enjoy & make sure you check out the original song by @jagajazzistofficial called 'Oban'! So proud to share this song with all of you! And thankyou to @youngdreamsband & the amazing @jagajazzistofficial for letting us re-imagine your song. 💫⚡#kimbra #jagajazzist #youngdreams #relativepeace
