Another of the wallpapers we used over the last year... these beautiful stripes in this jungle themed room. We had initially planned to use an amazing snake skin print. Till someone said snakes imply a negative energy, so best avoidable. I was still debating that in my head when I saw these zebra stripes. They're bold and happy and that was the end of the debate! It is also the first time that I used wallpaper on furniture. We used it in bits and pieces on random storage and wardrobe shutters here and there and I think it looks quite sweet.

@theketlihome @ahousebythebay for #brightspaceswelove . This works as a great storage space for my daughter. The long shutter is her all her dressing things, just near the mirror on the door. The shelves hold her 'animals' and cabinets above and below for toys and books.
Also taking up the #BeyondTheMirror challenge by @powerclosetindia . Here's a bit of me that the mirror doesn't see. ⠀
I took a very long break from work to raise my kids. I was genuinely happy doing all the mommy and wifey things that need to be done and thought I would never be getting back to work... till they sort of grew up. (Sort of, because well.. do they ever fully grow up?!) So from being a busy, happy and proud home-maker I found myself becoming a bored housewife. ⠀
That's when the internal struggle began. I wanted to get back to work... I also wanted to be around when my kids got back home from school. I started off doing medical transcriptions. Not very creative, but at least I was doing something, from the comfort of my home, around my kids. But if I can type for 8 hours a day I can easily use the same amount of time to do what I really love? ⠀
I've finally found the balance that works for me. I have my office at home. Whether blogging or designing, for most of my work all I really need is a computer. So I'm around most of the time, and the kids are big enough for when I'm not... And I'm absolutely loving being back at work! ⠀
Thanks @thekeybunch for tagging me to take up this challenge. I'm tagging @preethiprabhu @nehanavigates and @srain_a . ⠀
