Want to raise creative kids? I teamed up with @lakeshorelearning (ad) to talk to you about creativity and simple ways you can encourage creativity at home. 👍🏻 My children love art 🎨 and I've nurtured this love from the time they were five months old. I'm not at all concerned with the end product of their paintings but rather about what the process of painting does for them. 💆🏻 If one of the kids is having a melt down I immediately set out an art activity. Yeah that may sound counter intuitive... the worry that paint will end up all over the place or the juggling this may entail 🤹🏻♀️... but really, that's never been the case. I have actually found that art calms them down so that the meltdown is completely gone by the time they are done with their activity. It can be as messy or clean as you set it out to be. Painting, whether that be with a brush, finger painting or even coloring, all have soothing effects on the body. But besides calming their mind, there are many other reasons why creativity and art is important in a child's home. Check out the blog post (link in my profile) to see why you too should be encouraging this at home and easy ways to do it. ✨✨Do your kids do art at home? What are your thoughts on doing art at home?
