This morning we both crouched on the granite rock outcrop which had been our camp for the last two days, eating soft fried eggs on home made bread that we had bought in Gulu, and lightly toasted directly in the flames. The bright yellow yolk dripped down our fingers as we watched a 1000 strong buffalo herd grazing on the plains below us.
We had had the Kakine hill to ourselves on both nights and in the evening, if one ignored/strategically blocked the 3 lights from the various lodges in the park, we looked on to blissful darkness around us, with nothing but the mountains silhouetted in the half moon. We fell deeply for it all, and talked endlessly of exploring this region of Uganda and South Sudan more intimately one day. 📷 taken from bed this morning, with Mt Lemej in the distance. #kidepovalleynationalpark #cntraveler #mytinyatlas #passionpassport #dametraveler #visituganda #frommywindow
