If I could be real for a minute, parenting is hard. Learning about a little human who changes everyday is hard, figuring out what works and what doesn't work when teaching them to be good adults is hard. Thanks to a little convo with a friend I realized I needed to say something to her. I told her the other day look, you are our first kid. You have never been 7.5 before and we have never had a 7.5 year old before. We are going to all make mistakes some days but we apologize to each other we learn from our mistakes and we try again to be the best we can everyday. We are learning to better just as much as you are. Then I get these little notes slipped under my door yesterday and I melt. Sometimes you just have to remind them you're human too and it helps them feel like this big world is a little easier when were walking with them instead of pushing them through.
