The Descend. ×
I met two guys from Mumbai, I started to descend with them. We reached here, the bridge mentioned earlier in the story, the bridge that marked centre of the trek. Till this point, we almost came down running, there was no rush to leave this beautiful place, but the descend was exciting. As we moved ahead, we motivated all the people going towards the top. Lied to them that the trek isn't that tough, so that they keep going. By the time I reached the end of the trek, my ankles and calves gave up, I didn't want to walk even for a minute more. As I said bye to the Mumbai fellows, I found equally tired people who had just completed their descend, and asked if I could share a cab with them. As the cab left the Kheerganga base, I bid adieu to the heaven I spent a night at, promised myself I'd come here again soon, dozed off on the window and slept like a baby. ×
PS- These shoes from @quechua are a real life saver. My trek felt easier only because of them. A big thanks to guys from @decathlonsportsindia for helping me pick them up.
