👉Simply put, a combo is a series of exercises done back to back, done one rep at a time, but cycled for however many rounds before taking rest. They suck--yes, absolutely. It's a love/hate relationship.

☝️Here's a great one: double snatch to see-saw press to front squat. Cycle through five times without rest. Then repeat for 3 - 5 rounds. You'll thank me later!

This is NOT day 4 of battle bells challenge. This was actually part of my warm up for the challenge, but my back was giving me some trouble(was sore after deadlifts 🤦🏼‍♂️I know.. I know🤷🏼‍♂️) so I decided to get another nights rest before I tackled day 4 because it looks super tough! But I figured I'd make use of some of the stuff I did tonight, because despite how my back was feeling, the rest of my body felt good. My back wasn't so much hurting as it just feels sore still 😳, but it's gotten so much better since yesterday(day two DOMS were real- I'm an idiot, I know lol). Give these moves a try as a warm up and/or circuit after a heavy lifting day, or even just as a cardio/metabolic finisher. The kettlebell is an AWESOME strength and conditioning tool that I think every gym goer should be utilizing! Don't have time to make it to the gym? Invest in a kettlebell! Anyone can make time to workout for 30-45min a few days a week- master the basic Kettlebell moves, AT HOME, and BELIEVE ME, 30-45 minutes will kick your butt! Here is some pretty basic stuff that, as you can see, I did right outside my back door with a 16 and 20kg kettlebell. Run through this for 3-5 rounds through and let me know what you think!

Make sure you're getting the kettlebell basics down before trying any of this stuff. Like I said most of it is pretty basic, but make sure you have a general understanding of the hip hinge/swing, wrist positioning, rack positioning, etc., before trying stuff like the windmill and snatches, as they do require some good shoulder/hip mobility/stability.

Day 118, Sunday Funday. Played with a ketllebell complex that goes something like this:
Armbar > TGU to Standing Racked> Squat to Press > Bent Press > TGU Down

After a few rounds I worked more on my squats, they have been rusty after travel. Then we hiked a bit, jumped in the St. Croix, and hiked back. .

Single kettlebell armour building.
This is my take on the famous complex invented by Dan John.
It includes one push, one pull, one squat, one overhead isometric hold.
You're going to do 3 exercise in a row with each arm, pushpress, half snatch and overhead squat.
It is a great off season workout because it doesn't require lifting shoes, hard flat surfaces or lots of chalk, and is performed with a single kettlebell. The sets/reps progression is 10x3+3+3 each arm, then 8x4+4+4, then 7x5+5+5, then 6x6+6+6 (Smolov anyone?). Ideally one would start with a weight that can be pressed easily for 10 reps. No recovery between sets.

Earlier this week I taped a video on Facebook describing how I use a product called @beastychalk, which is a gel that becomes chalk after you rub it on your hands. It's easy to bring to the gym without the mess of actually having chalk. I don't have any affiliation with the company, it's just a product I use all the time when I'm barbell / kettebell training.
