Prepping for a tough ride tomorrow 🚴♀️ (107km distance, 1,700m elevation). In the past this would've meant carb-loading before, carrying bananas/gels, making sure to eat every 1.5 hours... I mean, I like to think I have good time management skills but #aintnobodygottimeforthat 😅
Thank god I have found an easier way! Fueling with FAT! 🥑 I'll make a smoothie beforehand, filled with MCTs, collagen, exogenous ketones, other healthy fats and micronutrients, bring some almonds along (just in case) and that's that!
I have found fueling this way gives me:
✔️ consistent energy
✔️ no risk of "bonking" or hitting a wall
✔️ better recovery time
It almost sounds too good to be true... But fat is legit! 💁
