As much as I am utterly obsessed with animals, I can't deny that I have equal love for the #vegetation too! (Dreamed to be a botanist when I was a kid, hell, what was I thinking😅). Whenever i step my feet into the outside world, there is a tendency for me to check out how the environment's plants are like. Somehow, a simple observation as such would make my stomach tingled with gratitude.

In the above frames, my attention was actually caught by the quite dramatic formation of the #Acacia trees. And those lazily chilling #herd of buffalo happened to be among it. So by reflex, I asked our driver to stop the truck so I could 'freeze up' the view my eyes were enjoying that second... 📸 📸 📸

Those trees are common in #Kenya, I think they are also native in Australia or can be found in the Eastern part of #Indonesia (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway, if you're on your safari game drive, you could easily spot them manywhere. I saw many trees stand tall and strong in the middle of green vast savannah. It was a great sight, it was so soothing... I hope I could come over again to see these lovelies, meanwhile here's a personal-admiration-note from me to them 👀

Had to repost this...whether you’ve been to Kenya before or not this is an excellent snapshot of this magical country. A Cheetah sits on a termite mound to scan the grasslands for approaching prey. Cheetahs hunt mainly during the day and have poor night vision. These cats can't retract claws and that's where they get their genus name - Acinonyx , meaning ' no move claw'.

Rub-A-Dub_Dub...Hyena in the mud!
Hyenas love a good mud bath but they don’t just do this for fun. When they have gorged themselves on a huge meal, digestion raises their core body temperature and they use the mud pools to cool down.
The more you observe these guys the more you will ❤️ them.
They definitely don’t deserve the bad reputation they have been given.

We caught these guys snacking in unison while on safari in Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is about 600 square miles and runs along the border Serengeti in Tanzania. These zebra were taking a break from the annual Great Migration, when they join over 1.5 million wildebeest for the 500 mile journey from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures (literally). The beauty of your land that you can only realize when you take a tour around the your region. #kenyatourism

A heavenly display of light over the magnificent plains of the Mara.
Most travelers plan their safari to the Masai Mara to coincide with the Great Migration during the months of August to October but a little known travel tip is that November and December are also fantastic times to visit due to the short bursts of daily rain which transform the dry plains into lush green landscapes.
The parks are also less busy so game viewing is far more peaceful providing travelers with better photo opportunities.
If you do, however, want to witness the great migration make sure to book your safari well in advance as availability is limited for this bucket-list event.

Giraffes are fairytale animals, almost heraldic as if from the land of fables. They have extremely beautiful faces, huge eyes, very sensitive nostrils and oh, blue tongues!
