Break out of that comfort zone!! THAT is where you'll find growth and progress.
I started my brand new program this morning. It's a combination of Pilates, yoga and cardio and it is definitely not in my wheel house. I thrive in the intense cardio programs like the one I just wrapped up. Here, I feel uncoordinated and unstable. That just indicates where I need to grow. I can tell just from this photo that I need to work on my neck alignment even in my baby step to Warrior 3 pose!
Along with stepping out of your comfort zone, you need to keep your muscles guessing. It was time for me to switch up my style of fitness programs. I could tell my body was getting used to the moves. I was really surprised today at some of the moves I struggled with strength-wise. It just goes to show that different movements use such different muscle groups.
I'm excited to see what this program does for my running. They definitely go hand in hand with each other!
