I think pinky promises to my kids are the cutest damn things in the world. My kids KNOW that if there is a pinky promise involved it's serious.
So question, would you break a pinky promise to you little human? Man I hope the answer is no (too many times that happened to me as a kid and it's like nails on the chalkboard). So why, why in the world do we think, especially as moms, that it's okay to leave ourselves hanging, to make promises to ourselves only to give up, or not even try at all. I know you think they (little humans) don't see it but I promise they do. Their intuition, it sees you. You're their greatest superhero, let them see you keep your promises, so they can learn to keep theirs later in life, to you and to themselves.
Does this mean you have to be perfect? NO, We're all HUMAN, so apologize if you break it and let them know you will do better. I am not talking about promising to be a millionaire, I'm talking about one small thing after another after another. I promise to meditate 3 times a week, I promise to drink more water, I promise to not go over my budget this week.... you get the idea😉! We have to appreciate where we are as we aspire to be our next best self, there are tiny humans watching ✌🏻!
