Keep doing what it is you are called to do not to spite others but do it despite them. Others may accuse as David found in these chapters. Others may attack or try to sway, even distract but you be planted like a tree and keep living. As Psalm 110:2 says, "Rule in the midst of your enemies." And verse 4, "The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind." If He is calling you to be a teacher, to share some lesson you've learned or share a topic you love - be the best you as a teacher. If He has called you to use your voice as an activist or a Sunday school leader or maybe in your friend group - don't discount that - it is a calling too.
Others may try to hurt or persuade you away but keep on.
His steadfast character calls us to respond. Our steadfastness is direct praise or response to His!! 108:1
"For great is Your love, higher than the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies." 108:4
Even if others repay you evil for good or hatred with your friendship as David was facing. 109:5.
David says about one specific person, "He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil." 109:18
Like water -- so it entered like an ingredient that makes up majority of us. Ouch.
What is your top heart ingredient? Is it love? That's God's. His love is unfailing. It is His essence. 109:26.
God hasn't changed His mind about wanting to use you in showing love to others. Don't let others discouragement or lack of showing love to you be the determining factor. Let His love fuel you. Let His very Word spark a fire in your heart for others. Trust me, there is no better way to get passionate about people.
He loves you. He wants to use you in someone's life. Maybe someone just came to mind.
Remember all the people God sent to help you at various moments. Tag your it. Keep living, He has chosen you!
