November 16 is also observed as National Press Day, no mention is made about Sarabha as a journalist of the early 20th century who started publishing revolutionary writings in Punjabi.
We see Sarabha only as a freedom fighter, who laid down his life for liberating the motherland from the clutches of the imperialist forces. However, we conveniently ignore the other aspect of his personality which was aligned to awaken the Indians through the medium of media. Even the media fraternity fails to acknowledge this important aspect and doesn't see Sarabha as a role model in journalistic fields. He had to undertake the printing of 'Ghadar' newspaper in very difficult situations.
