"How would your life be different if…You stopped allowing other people to dilute or poison your day with their words or opinions? Let today be the day…You stand strong in the truth of your beauty and journey through your day without attachment to the validation of others."
Steve Maraboli. ✨
Reflecting on this quote today as I chat with a dear sister who has been brought down by another's comment on her journey of self discovery, judgments on whether she has or hasn't seen the right signs, taken the right path, practiced well enough.... How can we really place judgement on others self explorations, for we have no way of knowing what they experience in their reality everyday, we can never know what another truly sees, what they are aware or unaware of, we cannot actually know how much time and effort they have put forth to exploring he depths of their own mind and their own hearts.
Who are we to decided what makes a journey "spiritual" and make the measurement of "how spiritual they are"? To me this seems like the opposite of what self discovery is trying to achieve. Are we not all striving for the same journey that unites us and exposes the 'self' as being part of all creation, and therefore not seperate from each other at all? These habits seperate us in our minds even more.
Regardless, whether we identify with it or not, we are all having a spiritual human experience in every moment. |
Evolution calls for us to turn the enquiry to ourselves rather than others 🙏🏻✨
As we empower ourselves we empower others ❤
Love this shot of two friends so close to my heart @charliebrophy_ and @in_flo reminding me of the joy and strength in supportive and loving friendships. They are both wearing our Pushkar Mystics Kimonos made from recycled Saree silk (you can shop them via the link in our bio) 🌙✨ and their incredible crystal lighter necklaces from @thegoodlighter 🔥
