Looking at Liliana this morning thinking, gosh you're getting so big😍 at the same time Jaizen was getting ready for school putting his JROTC uniform on. I remember some things about uniform so I helped him best I could (I have no clue how the beret is supposed to look, so he did his best). I showed him what I remember about tucking in my uniform and crease lines... I look back over at Liliana and debate whether or not to put on her shoes and Jaizen looks back over at me and says "a little help" and points at his shoes... My heart skipped a beat or 3 realizing that time does fly! At one point he was a "big boy" and it was silly for me to tie his shoes, help him fix his clothes, give him advice on anything... And here we are, back to square one where he wants my help and looks to me for advice 😭😭😭 I will always tie your shoes no matter how much bigger you get, no matter how old you are, I will be here ❤ If anyone knows my back story regarding the military and Jaizen, you know how much this means to me that he now has the uniform on. I wouldn't change a thing 😍 If you choose this route, I will support you. If God has a different path for you, I will still always support you 🙏 Cheers to college coming this January 💪 So proud of you Jaiz, you'll always have my heart.
P.s. he got me with the "wow mom I'm surprised you arent taking a picture" I misplaced my phone 30 seconds prior thinking about how fast this all happened... But OF COURSE I WAS TAKING A PICTURE!!!! #JaizenChayce #MyHeart #FirstBorn #OurOldest #KaimukiHighSchool #JROTC #CollegeBound #KapiolaniCommunityCollege #KCC #UH #UniversityOfHawaii #Army #ArmyStrong #TimeFlies #LilianaKamalani
