Photo: @dlagerlof ------------------ I didnt get to writing all day about yesterdays demonstrations on May 1st. Ive been feeling too frustrated... Female police officers that escort nazis through my home town as they march on OUR day. How can police do this with a straight face? And still be proud of their job.. How can they stand up for and protect nazis and still sleep at night? How can police allow nazis to use riot gear shields against the police even, without any type of repercussions!? When the same police confiscate human rights activists keys for making nonviolent noice. Its very apparent what is most important in this society, protecting nazis right to hate... Democracy my fucking ass! Nazis are against democracy, nazism is not "an opinion" as any other. Sweden has agreed with the UN to forbid organized racism and nazism, still we allow it.. Its horrific and despicable. To say the least. What will it take, Sweden, what?! Then I came across this photo and it made me cry, if this woman can stand in the face of 350 nazis as they're marching then WE cannot give up, we cannot lose hope, we cannot stop fighting! The most powerful photo of the decade! POWER.
And to this woman: Im in awe of your courage and power. There are not words enough... I was in Malmö all day but were afraid for my home town, because I know how much racism actually exists there. But I was proud to hear 1000 people gathered in the protest and love-fest against the nazis. And I was relieved to hear an interview of an old woman who were full of fighting spirit, thank you Borlänge. And then THIS photo, this woman, gave me life!
Keep fighting now more than ever.
