As a practitioner of yoga since almost 13 years, I’ve never been a fan of having many teachers. For me it ruins some clarity that is essential to grow. But it is also so hard to find a person, that will constantly inspire you, sometimes with many instructions, sometimes just by one simple word. We never know what we need. But some people give that to us even if we connect these all dots much later. They plant a seed of understanding and gratitude.
I was lucky to travel to Mysore in my first year of discovering ashtanga yoga. I was extremely lucky that I met Guruji back then also and started to study in KPJAYI with Sharath few years later. He became my main teacher straight away, then my Guru. I will always go back to this place, where tradition, dedication and passion for teaching are the highest values. It connects me deeply with the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.
As a yoga student I keep searching for the highest potential of myself, for the place in me that I can act and see life from the purest point of view, for something soft and filled with love to the whole world… Here’s the woman who definitely inspires me and gives example that it is all possible. I definitely consider her as my teacher also, she encourages me with all she does to be a more dedicated student and teacher and more in love with life. As it also matters for me, not only dedication, but also being human in this world, have fun and keep enjoying and admiring what we have. To be soft, strong and loving.
And to be true.
