Don't wait for yourself to feel motivated to do the thing you've been putting off doing. Sometimes, motivation never arrives. So, count backwards (5,4,3,2,1) to interrupt your brain pattern and then immediately do it. The brain is always trying to protect us from discomfort. So, get uncomfortable and stop thinking about it!
