😱Humans are more closely related to fungal species than to plants!!
🍄My interest in fungal species has been sparked. Some may know of my passion for microbes, specifically in areas of health and the gut microbiome
🍄After listening to a podcast with @joerogan and mycologist @paulstamets I became intrigued and fascinated by fungal potential. It’s just soooo cool! I wish I knew this during college and so I can direct more focus there. I want to learn more and share evidence based facts with you guys. The extent of some people’s knowledge ends at portobello and magical mushrooms. Tsk tsk tsk, little do they know. The environmental, ecological restoration, health possibilities are so vast
🍄 ”If you look on the fungal genome as being soldier candidates protecting the U.S. as our host defense, not only for the ecosystem but for our population... we should be saving our old-growth forests as a matter of national defense” Paul Stamets
🍄Answers to many problems can be found in these fungal species. Check out Paul Stamets for more of his research, patents, talks and published papers
