Clayton Kershaw has been placed on the 10-Day DL. He got pulled out in the second inning of today's game with lower back stiffness. This is obviously a major blow to the best team in baseball, as Kershaw is an elite pitcher and likely would've been a serious Cy Young candidate. There has been no timetable for his return. Kershaw leads the league in wins (15), ERA (2.07), and innings pitched (139.1). During the same game, Nats ace, Stephen Strasburg was also removed from the game in the second inning due to an apparent injury. It does not seem to be as serious as Kershaw's, and considering Strasburg's injury plagued past they were likely just being cautious. He is considered day to day.
