I know it's been a week but still... Feeling blessed to finally able to meet John Cameron Mitchell in person, the one that created the play that literally changed my life (also my thesis topic!) : Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
As well as the talented (also warmhearted) Amber Martin and Bryan Weller. <3
So so lucky and glad that I get to tell you how much I love your work in person and receive autopgraphs & selfies as memento.
Hate to put pictures of myself on social media but man I've gotta show off for this one. :) My script feels honored to be complimented by THE JCM as holding punk-rock spirit as well. :D
I couldn't express myself well because I was too overwhelming seeing you, but thank you for bringing Hedwig to life.
I met this play shortly before turning 18, as the welcome gift to adulthood my friends gave me the OST of the movie and it never left my playlist ever since.
The lines in the script which now I can almost recite by heart even if it’s not my mother tongue left as deep an impression on me as that oven rack did on Hedwig's face.
I cried with it, laughed with it, and gained strgenth to move on,
Thank you so much for the brilliant shows and I hope to be able to see you again really soon (maybe in Taiwan)!
Love you and will keep loving you. <3
(And hopefully you get to see this... I know I should have written in letter instead :p)
Finally a shout out to Etsuko, Keiko, Wendy, Firth and Ku. HedHeads forever!
