It begins by investigating a small-town murder that's seemingly been swept under the rug, and eventually accounts the mysterious and compelling life of an eccentric genius "trapped" in rural Alabama. It's hilarious and heart-breaking; it's profound and so ridiculously white trash. There's probably something like seven different plot twists. When I started this I had no idea where it would eventually lead me.
