Simple formula for life right here.
@jockowillink preaches this, and it couldn’t be more true. In the past I have been asked how one can handle so much. While I’m no superstar at everything that I attempt to do, I am a huge believer in the above statement and know it has a lasting impact on most of my process. Thanks @jockowillink.
Whether it’s running a business, weightlifting, fitness and stretching 7+ hours a week, coaching college atheltes, writing 30 articles a month (over 30,000 words), running 4 Instagram accounts @ruggedself @thebarbellceo @thej2fit @mikejdewar, spending time with my wife and family (and cat), traveling the world, spending time with friends, building personal finances, and creating opportunities...it all takes discipline. The more disciplined you can develop... the greater freedom you will have in your day to day, finances, and life.
To reiterate some easy steps (well not easy or everyone would do them). Many of you will overthink this, however you know when you are being lazy... so act, don’t overthink.
1. Get up earlier
2. Workout (or do something physical) every day
3. Eat healthier
4. Say NO to people and “things to do” that leach energy from you, and more importantly do not fall in line with what your goals are. This is a huge one. Nobody has time for dead ends.
5. Every day, have 4 hours of tasks scheduled, and every day attack those with purpose. This does NOT include the first 4 steps...those are given and start before your work day.
6. Every day, leave a few hours open to adapt to the day. Take on a call, answer emails, and leave a margin for error or unexpected things (but say NO to those if they don’t align with step 3).
7. Stay humble.
